Our husband-and-wife team, Dr. Daniel Kohanchi (Dentist Anesthesiologist) and Dr. Nina Rastegar (Cosmetic and Surgery Specialist), has helped care for thousands of patients with expertise and compassion.

Dr. Nina Rastegar was raised in Los Angeles, California and attended the University of California San Diego, where she obtained her undergraduate degree with honors. She went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Global Medicine through the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Rastegar furthered her education and attended dental school at the University of Southern California, Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry.
Dr. Nina Rastegar is a highly skilled and experienced dentist dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. She is very passionate about her family-owner practice alongside her husband, Dr. Daniel Kohanchi. Dr. Rastegar is committed to providing a concierge-level experience in a modern, state-of-the-art setting.
Dr. Rastegar takes a comprehensive and conservative approach to dental care, prioritizing thorough exams and minimally invasive treatments whenever possible. She is highly experienced in treating patients under sedation, ensuring comfort for those with dental anxiety or complex needs. With extensive expertise in implant dentistry, Dr. Rastegar has placed over 1,000 implants and specializes in full-arch rehabilitation. She is also an educator for Stabili-Teeth, a leading full-arch implant solution to missing teeth, teaching advanced surgical techniques to dentists across the United States.
Passionate about restoring smiles, Dr. Rastegar uses the latest technology, including digital scanners, 3D imaging, and in-office milling, to provide precise, high-quality results. Dr. Rastegar is licensed in both Pennsylvania and California and is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and various local dental organizations. She holds certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Rastegar enjoys spending time with her husband and son, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere both at home and in her practice. She loves to cook, visit the Farmers Market with her family, and travel in her free time.
Dr. Daniel Kohanchi
Dentist Anesthesiologist
Dr. Daniel Kohanchi is a practicing Dentist Anesthesiologist who was raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended the University of California Irvine, where he studied biology and obtained his undergraduate degree with honors. He went on to attend dental school at the University of Southern California, where he graduated with high honors. Dr. Kohanchi began his pursuit of training in anesthesiology after discovering that he could combine his dental training with his aptitude for medicine, pharmacology, and physiology.
Dr. Kohanchi completed a residency in dental anesthesiology within the top-ranked University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. During his training, Dr. Kohanchi completed rotations in internal medicine, critical care medicine, acute lung disease, cardiology, and pediatric emergency medicine. He also provided anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical procedures and specialties including general surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics, plastic surgery, trauma, orthopedics, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, ENT, maxillofacial surgery, dental surgery, and more.
One of the greatest advantages to his training was the time spent specifically with dental patients in an office-based setting, where he treated patients of all ages and health statuses. The University of Pittsburgh is home to the Center for Patients with Special Needs, where Dr. Kohanchi treated hundreds of patients who were either turned away by or unable to cooperate with treatment at traditional dental practices and children’s hospitals. Some of the most rewarding work in Dr. Kohanchi’s career involves providing access to care for patients with special needs as well as to children, who are often pre-cooperative or afraid of dental treatment.
Dr. Kohanchi is a member of the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Dental Association, California Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and the California Dental Association. He holds certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Juan Parra, RDA
Head Registered Dental Assistant
Juan Parra is a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant with over a decade of experience in the dental field. He earned his dental assisting certification from the Career Education Center in Camarillo, CA, in 2015 and has since developed extensive expertise in a wide range of dental procedures, including cosmetic dentistry and complex surgical treatments.
Juan is proficient in the latest dental technologies, including CBCT scanning, 3D printing, CEREC scanning, and the fabrication and milling of same-day crowns, inlays, and onlays. His commitment to excellence and patient care makes him an invaluable part of our team.
Outside of the office, Juan is a devoted husband and father who cherishes time with his family. In his free time, he enjoys barbecuing, watching soccer (football), and playing Call of Duty.
